Our History

Founded by Gita Aminloo, the Blessing was created as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 non-profit in 2018; its goal is to improve the lives of people in underserviced area of San Bernardino county, CA. Gita has been a practicing hygienist since 1996. She got her specialized license in 2011 as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) from the University of Pacific. Since then her passion has been to serve individuals with physical and mental disabilities. She is a vendor for San Gabriel-Pomona, Inland Empire, and Orange County Regional Centers. She is currently serving consumers of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) in these regions and is a part of the Oral Health and Prevention program at San Gabriel-Pomona Regional Center. She is also serving disabled and home-bound individuals in 38 Adult Residential Facilities (AFR), 101 Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF), and 22 home-bound individuals. She visits about 900 disabled clients every three months at their place of residence. She believes that prevention is the key to improve oral health. The majority of her patients are not able to see a community dentist due to their physical or mental limitations. For many, she is the only oral health professional that they would see. In conjunction with behavior modification experts, she has been able to treat her patients without the need of general anesthesia. Many of her patients are now able to be treated in a regular dental office setting. Her believes and work ethics drive her to serve the most under-served population and to improve the overall oral health of the community through education and her clinical expertise.
